Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the sun, a creature that very rarely graces us English folk, was out in full force this weekend and again today. I suppose the fact that we hardly ever have consistently hot weather makes it much more special when the sun is out. There’s nothing quite like feeling the beating heat of the sun on your skin illuminating those little vellus hairs. The hotter it gets the more bare legs we see, add a few more centigrade the more bums you will see. It’s all fun and games until someone whacks out a pair of Havaiana flip flops and their toes haven’t had a meet up with the nail clippers since summer 2014.
It’s a topic I feel strongly about and must address with hast. I’m actually pretty sure I could start a petition to ban people with bad toes from exposing them. Okay that sounds mean, if you’re born with the extra-long second toe what can you do? It’s genetics! But it is just common curtesy to get a pedicure if you plan on having your feet out, get rid of that dead skin and slap on a bit of gel or shellac ladies!!
My personal catlike regime consists of my fingernails/claws being tended to every two weeks and a pedicure every three weeks. This is not because I find it fun, it’s a chore. We all know how monotonous it is waiting under that dryer for the paint to set where every minute feels like an hour. I’ll let you all in on my secret, my guilty pleasure which makes this entire process all bearable is the pedicure spa chairs. A full body massage whilst getting a pedicure? As a self confessed pamper cat, I’m talking full on shiatsu!
The Cosmetronic Pedicure Spa Chair models Luci & Faiz (depending on what you think look best in your salon) easily became my best friends. They have over 10 different massage actions as well as an airbag leg massage on the seat. Oh and of course a jet massage system in the pedicure bowl, not to mention the built in music system where I can sit back and listen to my favourite jams as opposed to the normal sound of dolphins and wave music (I love dolphins, but I prefer Rihanna’s vocals).
A lot of business owners can easily be put off by the price of a pedicure spa chair, so allow me to give you an easy mathematical break down. The price of a Luci Pedicure spa chair £1,999 + VAT. The price of your standard pedicure is around £30. So with your added luxuries of shiatsu massage and music included you could raise this price up to a minimum of £45, which clients are happy to pay for their spa experience, then introduce your deluxe pedicure. So it would take you on average 45 pedicures to earn back your money, and with summer approaching you’re guaranteed the clients! Alternatively Cosmetronic offer leasing from £70PCM (over 3 years) so you would only need to do 2 clients a day to earn your money back. Perfectly preened toes at an affordable price for all! Because in the end no one likes ugly toes.
